How it works?
Typical NREM (Non Rapid Eye Movement) and REM (Rapid Eye Moment) sleep cycle duration knowledge helps the app in calculating the wake up time. Research says that you begin a sleep cycle every 90-120 minutes. Waking up during a sleep cycle makes you groggy.
SleepNav app makes you wake up at the most restful period of sleep cycle.
An average person takes 15 to 17 minutes to fall asleep. SleepNav default time to fall asleep is set to 14 minutes in the settings. You can change it if you want.
If due to work or other commitments, time is not available to complete 5 sleep cycles (recommended amount of sleep as per sleep research), please sleep as many sleep cycles as possible using the app.
For example: If you have an exam or interview next day or any other commitment and you want to sleep less then sleep for 1/2/3/4 sleep cycles; that is any number of sleep cycles you deem necessary. App guarantees that using it to wake up will refresh you even if you have slept less than recommended hours!
